Antioch’s locally owned Mexican restaurant, Acapulco Burrito, is slated to get a yet-to-be-named sister concept in Nashville’s West End near Vanderbilt University at 117 28th Ave N later this year.

Although an official grand opening date is unknown, owner Alfonso Perez confirmed with What Now Nashville that the upcoming Mexican restaurant will be opening soon, hopefully within the year, but did not reveal the name of the restaurant or a specific timeline for opening.

As the Nashville Post reported, the building that the Mexican restaurant will be housed in was recently listed for sale, however, this will not deter Perez as a tenant from opening his restaurant. Marketing materials note the Mexican restaurant is slated to eventually open on the main level of the two-story 117 28th Ave. N. building. The restaurant has been in the works for a while, with permitting and construction efforts bringing delays along the way.

Acapulco Burrito’s Antioch offers a robust menu filled with classic Mexican comfort foods including chimichangas, quesadillas, tacos, menudo, enchiladas, chilaquiles, carne asada, and of course, burritos.

Though the details of Perez’s upcoming Mexican restaurant are still unfolding, it’s expected that it will serve a similar environment and menu to Acapulco Burrito’s popular offerings. The new restaurant does not currently have a website or any social media channels set up.

Customers can stay updated with the restaurant on Acapulco Burrito’s website.
