According to a social media post and recent signage change at 334 Main Street in Franklin, locally-owned Leiper’s Fork Distillery will soon replace The Grilled Cheeserie. The space is slated to include a cocktail bar, a gift shop, a fill-your-own-bottle experience, a bottling line, and live music to open later this fall, as stated by the Williamson Source.

Leiper’s Fork first opened doors at its flagship distillery in 2016 from founder and owner Lee Kennedy at 3381 Southall Rd. in Leiper’s Fork. The downtown Franklin location will mark the first expansion of the business in seven years.

Specializing in small-batch, handcrafted whiskey, its website states that Leiper’s Fork ships two of its products to 42 states and offers tours six days a week.

“The tours focus on the start-to-finish process of our small-batch whiskey distilling. You’ll get to visit our Still house, learn how we make our traditional small-batch whiskey, taste our spirits in our 200-year-old tasting room and more,” states the website.

What Now Nashville contacted officials for comment but did not receive a response by the time of publication. Stay tuned for more opening updates on Leiper’s Fork Distillery’s website, Facebook and Instagram.
