Filling a need for more family-friendly sit-down restaurants in town, Aubrey’s has been announced as Lebanon’s newest dining destination, according to recent reporting. The address of the new site is 1648 W. Main St. and may be open by the end of the year, however, a more precise opening timeline is forthcoming. This will become the second Middle Tennessee location for the Knoxville-based brand, which announced a future location for Spring Hill last year.
The Nashville Business Journal first reported that Lebanon’s mayor and economic development director recruited Aubrey’s with a $1.5 million economic development incentive. Early construction plans have been approved as of February.
Known best for its farm-fresh and locally-sourced approach to American comfort food, Aubrey’s was founded in 1992 by owner Aubrey Randy Burleson, a Knoxville native and veteran restauranteur, who also has a few other concepts under his belt including Bistro By The Tracks, Sunspot, Stefano’s, and Fieldhouse Social.
The company prides itself on offering fresh ingredients and giving back to its community through hosting local fundraisers for schools and non-profits. Past events have included pancake breakfasts and meals for teachers and staff.
“Giving back to the communities that have given us so much is at the core of who we are at Aubrey’s. Central to that commitment is our founder’s strong passion for the transformative power of education. To quote Aubrey himself, ‘Education is the most important thing that can change the quality of life in a community,'” states the Aubrey’s website.
