A cozy bakery and coffee shop with a Filipino twist, Café 86, which already operates four locations around southern California and one in Las Vegas, is eying an expansion to Northridge.
Helmed by the husband and wife team of James and Ginger Dimapsok, one of Café 86’s proprietors may seem a bit familiar. That’s because Ginger was a champion on Food Network’s Chopped Sweets.
It’s no surprise Café 86 has no shortage of sugary treats—think mini frosted cakes, crunchy cookies, and more.
But that’s not all, they also have a long list of specialty milk teas (including Boba!) and milkshakes, espresso drinks, and even some savory sandwiches, making it the perfect spot for any daytime craving.
While we don’t yet have a confirmed opening date for the Northridge location, construction began just a week or so ago, so unfortunately expect a bit of a wait.
