Jorge Cueva, better known as Mr. Tempo, is opening four new cantina concepts, such as Mr. Tempo Cantina and King and Queen Cantina, in Los Angeles.

The only known address of the upcoming concepts is coming to San Pedro’s $150 million West Harbor Waterfront development, located at 1190 Nagoya Way. This San Pedro location will be a King and Queen Cantina, joining The Win~Dow, Olala Crepes, and Pitfire Pizza, all expected to open sometime in 2023. The company’s website also notes new cantina concepts are eventually coming to Oxnard, Downtown LA, and a second location coming to Downey.

The restaurateur/ entrepreneur recently opened three new locations: two in Los Angeles and one in Mexico. Both Los Angeles locations, one in La Paz and another in Hollywood, are Mr. Tempo Cantinas, while the new restaurant in Mazatlan is called Ostioneria by Mr. Tempo. As of right now, there are four Mr. Tempo Cantinas (all in Los Angeles) and three King and Queen Cantinas (one in Los Angeles, San Diego, and Mexico). The company has plans to add cantina concepts in New York, Miami, Las Vegas, and San Diego’s Gaslamp Quarter.

Mr. Tempo Cantinas focuses specifically on Mexican styles and tastes found in their food, cocktails, and building layout. On the other hand, King and Queen Cantina’s menu spans the entire taste spectrum, focusing on Mexican cuisine and Asian, French, and Italian influences. Whether these new locations will be a Mr. Tempo Cantina or a King and Queen Cantina, guests can expect exceptional flavors in a classy yet fun, welcoming space for all.
