Sonic Drive-In, the American fast food restaurant with servers on rollerskates, is opening five new sites in Southern California, including locations in Santa Fe Springs and Bellflower.
On top of these two locations, Elevated Restaurant Group plans to expand the company to Ontario, San Bernadino, and Perris, according to the company’s website. The restaurant group, owned by parent company Coast to Coast Commercial, already operated 11 locations in Southern California, including sites in Duarte and Huntington Beach. The company recently renewed an agreement with Sonic Industries to develop and open 23 more sites in Southern California through 2031.
It’s not known exactly when these new locations are expected to open, but customers will find the standard drive-in and drive-thru models. The one-of-a-kind chain restaurant features dozens of pull-up stalls where customers can order by pushing a button. The vast menu has something for everyone, featuring countless American classics such as hot dogs, burgers, and chicken options. What’s more impressive is the restaurant’s drink menu, with numerous options for slushies, lemonades, and coffee drinks.
Elevated Restaurant Group has been growing quickly throughout Southwest America, also owning and operating several other restaurants, including Dave’s Hot Chicken and Jack in the Box. While the company doesn’t have anything planned for the latter, the former is opening eight new locations in Southern California, with sites coming to Belmont Shores, Santa Fe Springs, Downey, Torrance, Whittier, Long Beach, and Buena Park.
