This year, local Swedish candy brand Kändi is planning to open its third location. It will open a spot at Westfield Century City, located on the second floor between Cotton On, Oakberry Acai Bowls and Very Thai.

Owner Lucas Halac confirmed the expansion in a message to What Now Los Angeles and shared that they are targeting a late summer opening, likely in August, though an exact opening timeline will depend on permitting and inspections.

Halac launched the brand in February 2025 with a store in Studio City amid the Swedish candy craze popularized by TikTok over the past few years. Halac expanded to another store along Montana Avenue in Santa Monica earlier this year.

Kändi offers a vast array of Swedish candy that customers can pick and mix to customize their candy bags. The brand offers more than 125 varieties of imported Swedish candy, including gummies, sour candies, marshmallows, chocolates and licorice. The candies are all free of artificial dyes, high fructose corn syrup and GMOs.
