Korean beauty brand Olive Young made a splash in the Los Angeles market this May when it opened its first U.S. store in Pasadena. Now, the brand is continuing to chart a path toward growth, focusing on the Los Angeles area.
Olive Young will open a location at Del Amo Fashion Center in Torrance, according to the Del Amo website. It is slated to open on the first floor between Fabletics and Garage, and across from Pandora and POP MART, which will open in Q4 of this year.
What Now Los Angeles reached out to an Olive Young representative, who declined to provide further details at this time. However, a recent report in The Korea Daily indicates that the store will open in the fall.
The Torrance location will be the third U.S. store for Olive Young, which rapidly followed its debut in the States with another opening at Westfield Century City in June. That store offers unique elements including SKIN SCAN, a free skin analysis service that offers product recommendations for individual customers, and THE PREP BAR, which offers toner pads, suncare accessories, and skincare and beauty devices.
While Olive Young is new in the retail landscape of the U.S., it has been expanding in South Korea since its launch in 1999. Owned by the CJ Group, it has grown to well over 1,000 stores, offering Korean skin, hair and beauty products.
