Popular Fox Restaurant Concepts restaurant North Italia has been announced as the newest tenant coming to The Bowl at Ballantyne, located at 15119 Bowl St.

The company’s newest site will be a 6,480-square-foot restaurant, situated on Bowl Street directly across from Fly Kid Fly and Honeysuckle Gelato, according to a recent press release. This is one of two concepts from Fox Restaurant Concepts founder Sam Fox coming to the upcoming development, with Flower Child also opening in the area in a different location. North Italia is expected to open sometime next year.

These two restaurants join a growing list of tenants coming to The Bowl at Ballantyne, including Rooster’s Wood-Fired Kitchen, Olde Mecklenburg Brewery, Harriet’s Hamburgers, and more. When the restaurant opens, customers can expect scratch-kitchen cuisine and signature craft cocktails.

Fox opened the concept in 2002 and has made a name for itself by using only the season’s best ingredients to create various modern Italian dishes. The group has since expanded the restaurant to 13 states and the District of Columbia. North Italia only has one location in North Carolina in Charlotte at 1414 S. Tryon St.

“We’re proud to bring these high-caliber concepts to South Charlotte and feel like these deals serve as big endorsements for The Bowl,” Ward Kampf, president of Northwood Retail, said in the press release. “Sam Fox is a best-in-class operator. North Italia has seen great success with openings from coast to coast, and Flower Child’s unique, healthy food offerings are immensely popular, including at two other locations within our portfolio.”
