A local fast-casual Greek concept is expanding. Ilios Crafted Greek is planning its fourth location for 4000 Monroe Road at Oakhurst Commons.

The space will be 2,400 square feet, and construction is expected to begin later this month. Stratos Lambos, CEO of Xenia Hospitality, told the Charlotte Business Journal that the team is aiming for a January opening date.

Lambos opened the first Ilios Crafted Greek in South End in 2020 with his partners Angelo and Frank Kaltsounis. Since 2020, the brand has expanded to Stonecrest at Piper Glen and Baxter Village in Fort Mill.

The menu focuses on serving authentic Greek food in a fast-casual setting. They serve Greek plates, salads, pita sandwiches, hummus and spinach and feta pie. Each restaurant also focuses on Greek color schemes and design, featuring white and blue color schemes and photographs of Greece. The restaurants are also built with open kitchens and patios.

Lambos and the Kaltsounis also operate Ilios Noche, a full-service Greek restaurant in Charlotte. Open since 2003, the restaurant is designed to be a sit-down spot. It features a more extensive menu than Ilios Crafted Greek, with items such as seafood, pizza and pasta dishes.

Lambos told the Business Journal that he expects to continue to expand the Ilios Crafted Greek brand, focusing on local markets.
