Betty on Burke is heading to 1016 Burke Street in Winston-Salem. The space formerly belonged to The Powder Room.

“Wrapped in bamboo and a world away from the bustle of Burke Street, you’ll find the newest hospitable offering from the team behind Mozelle’s,” the concept’s Instagram page reads.

The new concept comes from the team behind Mozelle’s, which has been open in Winston-Salem since 2008. Jennifer Smith owns Mozelle’s, and Jay Pierce is the executive chef.

Mozelle’s describes itself as “a modern southern bistro,” according to the Mozelle’s website. It offers salads and entrees such as shrimp and grits, modern meatloaf, mushroom pasta and fried chicken.

Betty on Burke will serve dishes inspired by Italian, French and Mexican cuisine, according to a post by the Go To Winston-Salem.

As of now, the team has not posted opening details.

What Now Charlotte has reached out to Smith for further details regarding the opening timeline and concept. Stay tuned for updates.
