Village Juice & Kitchen is expanding its footprint to Raleigh, with plans to open a 2,400-square-foot space in March at 3711 Exchange Glenwood Place, according to reporting by the Triangle Business Journal.
Village Juice & Kitchen serves a health-centered menu, featuring salad bowls, wraps, sandwiches, soups, toasts and breakfast items such as overnight oats. It also serves smoothies and smoothie bowls.
“That part of town and that demographic really fits our customer. It’s a beautiful, well-lit location that will make a great space for us,” Clyde Harris, director of finances for Village Juice & Kitchen, told the Business Journal.
Lonnie Atkinson launched the business with her husband Nathan as she herself focused on a plant-based diet. They started out with a food truck and eventually opened a brick-and-mortar location in 2016 in Winston-Salem.
The spot now has several locations on college campuses, including Wake Forest University and Elon University, and it has a franchise location in Charlotte.
As they continue to expand, Harris told the Business Journal that the company wants about six to eight locations in the Triangle.
