Benchwarmers Bagels has a third location on the way to the Triangle, setting its sights on the North Hills Innovation District.
The space will be 2,800 square feet and will offer outdoor seating, according to Axios Raleigh.
Andrew Cash of Jubala Coffee and Joshua Bellamy and Sam Kirkpatrick of Boulted Bread teamed up to bring the Benchwarmers concept to the Transfer Co. Food Hall in Raleigh in 2018. It serves a variety of bagels, cream cheese spreads, sandwiches and coffee beverages. It also features a pizza night menu that changes every week.
The North Hills location is expected to offer an expanded menu featuring beer, wine and cocktails, according to Axios.
“As a team, we are committed to three fundamentals: Do your best. Don’t take yourself too seriously. Enjoy the ride,” the Benchwarmers website states.
This is not the first expansion announcement from the Benchwarmers team this year. Earlier this fall, the team announced that it would open in the Rockway apartment development, as previously reported by What Now Charlotte.
That location will open in 2025. While a timeline for opening on the North Hills location has not been announced yet, it is expected to open after the Rockway location.
