Artistry Restaurants, a hospitality group based in Winter Park, Fla., has gained ownership of local chain Hickory Tavern.
Hickory Tavern was founded in 1997 and currently has 20 locations throughout the Carolinas, including 14 in North Carolina and six in South Carolina. This is Artistry Restaurants’ first venture into the Carolinas.
Paul Zito will serve as president for the brand, according to Nation’s Restaurant News.
Hickory Tavern serves items like cedar plank salmon, burgers, ribeye steak, wings and chicken tenders.
“Since 1997, our establishment has been a destination for delicious food, refreshing beverages and genuine community,” the Hickory Tavern website states. “From our humble beginnings as a local hangout, we have evolved into a cherished gathering spot for Carolina neighborhoods. Our recently updated menu guarantees an exceptionally flavorful dining experience, returning to what propelled us to success across the Carolinas – premium ingredients and refined cooking techniques.”
Artistry Restaurants, helmed by CEO Bryan Lockwood, now has seven brands in its portfolio, including The Chapman, BOCA, Shrimp Basket, Oak & Stone, Atlantic Beer and Oyster and Sandbar Amelia Island in addition to Hickory Tavern. The group now manages a total of 50 restaurant locations.
