On South University Boulevard, just north of the intersection with Terry Road, a new Mexican-Honduran Restaurant is preparing to open its doors. A recent plan review shows the restaurant opening at 4311 University Blvd S, across the street from Aaron’s Furniture Store.

“I’m from Honduras, and my husband is from Mexico,” co-owner Nelly Osorio told What Now on Thursday. “We’re going to mix Honduran and Mexican food.”

Although a name was given to the project in the recent plan review paperwork, Osorio says it is only a placeholder. As yet, the project is unnamed, and further information regarding the menu and opening date are not yet available.

The restaurant will be opening an area with an already highly developed food and drink community, situated between Tunis Seafood, Wings & Subs and a small retail center that includes restaurants like Hala’s Mideast Eatery and Market, Sam Won Garden Korean BBQ, China Dragon, and El Taino.
