A recently filed permit shows the popular shaved ice chain Bahama Buck‘s will be opening its first Jacksonville location and its eighth in the state later this year, sometime in the fall or winter of 2023. A grand opening date has not been decided.
The Jacksonville Bahama Buck’s address will be at 700 Beach Blvd. Because this new location is still far out from opening, details of the store are being kept tight-lipped.
Bahama Buck’s representatives confirmed the location and a Q4 opening timeline but declined to comment about the opening. The Bahama Buck’s website currently shows the Jacksonville location as “under construction.”
The brand is famous for its customizable flavored shaved ice, but also offers acai bowls, smoothies, coffee, soda and flavored Red Bull drinks. Bahama Bucks also caters to a unique party activity called “Snow2Throw,” which consists of a bucket of 60 handmade snowballs for customers to host a snowball fight, no matter the season.
Along with catering, Bahama Buck’s aims to give back to the communities they serve by hosting fundraising nights for local non-profits and schools. It also hosts a program called Buck’s Encouraging Education Program, or BEEP for short, which is “an incentive-based student donation program available for local teachers to reward students for academic achievements with free Sno,” its website states.
Jacksonville’s Bahama Buck’s will neighbor Ink Factory Coffee Shop and European Street Cafe in the Jacksonville Beach neighborhood.
