After recently opening a new location in Nassau County, B Mac’s Buffet is already planning to open a new site in Jacksonville at 900 Dunn Ave.

The company’s third location will move into a vacant space next to Caribbean Paradise in the Highland Square Shopping Center. Owner Bart Mckinney tells What Now Jacksonville he recently opened the company’s first Florida location at 542225 US HWY 1 but is already planning to open a second area site closer to Jacksonville. Mckinney wasn’t able to provide an exact opening date, saying he is focusing on the Callahan site for the time being but expects to open this location in a few months.

When it opens, customers can expect the same reasonably priced buffet found at the Callahan site and the original Waycross, Georgia, location. Mckinney tells What Now that he made this buffet for working-class people and is excited to get the new location going. Previously, Mckinney mentioned he has already secured a lease for a 7,000-square-foot site in case the recently opened location outgrows itself. Unlike the other Florida B Mac’s Buffet, the new Jacksonville site will not feature crab legs due to a nearby competitor.

When this new buffet opens, likely sometime next year, customers can expect a handful of specials, all at a reasonable price. For example, on Saturdays, lunch is only $14 cash, and wing Thursday, starting at only $12. Other entrees include fried chicken, baked chicken, fried shrimp, boom boom shrimp, fried fish rice, mashed potatoes, hush puppies, clam strips, green beans, and more. For dessert, the restaurant offers several options, including cobbler and ice cream.
