A new dining spot offering a diverse menu is set to open in South Boston.
According to a Universal Hub report (via Boston Restaurant Talk), the Boston Licensing Board has recently approved plans for Virtual Food Court (VFC) to open at 313 Old Colony Ave, taking over the former Supreme House of Pizza space.
Co-owner Dany Abouelkhier—who helped run Cambridge’s recently shuttered Aleppo Palace—initially sought a license for takeout only. However, he has since decided to establish VFC as a dine-in restaurant with seating for up to 14 patrons. The addition of takeout and delivery services will be addressed in a future hearing, as there are community concerns about congestion due to limited parking in the area.
VFC’s Google business profile describes the eatery as a “culinary haven where the richness of diverse cuisines converges with the convenience of an open kitchen.” The menu will feature over 100 global dishes, including Middle Eastern, Italian, Mexican, Asian, and American fare. Offerings will range from pizzas, wings, and salads to bubble teas, tacos, shawarma, fresh juices, and granola bowls.
“Our concept is centered around uniting these culinary treasures under one virtual roof, creating a sensory feast where every bite narrates a unique story,” reads the description.
While Virtual Food Court’s social media pages hint at an imminent opening, no official date has been announced. What Now Boston has reached out to Abouelkhier for more information and will update this page as details become available.
