A highly popular Massachusetts brewery could be expanding to Boston’s Back Bay.

Tree House Brewing Company has submitted various license applications to establish a two-story brewery, tasting room, and distillery at 800 Boylston St in the Prudential Center, as reported by Boston Restaurant Talk.

The proposed 35,000-square-foot space would feature brewing and distilling areas, a commercial kitchen, a retail section for take-home sales, and spaces for on-site consumption on the first floor. The second floor would offer seating for around 121 guests and include a spacious patio.

Tree House Brewing Co. was founded in Brimfield, Massachusetts in 2011 by Dean Rohan, Nate Lanier, and Damien Goudreau, who began crafting beer in Lanier’s kitchen in 2008.

Today, Tree House operates several facilities, including its main brewery, coffee roastery, and distillery in Charlton, as well as additional Massachusetts breweries in Deerfield, Tewksbury, and Sandwich.

The owners also run a farm brewery in Woodstock, Connecticut, recently opened a retail spot in Boston, and have a new brewery underway in Saratoga Springs, New York.

Known for its diverse selection of brews, seltzers, and ciders, Tree House also offers classic fare like pizza and burgers across its locations.

Stay tuned for updates, as more details are expected to emerge following the scheduled hearing this Wednesday.
