Weary travelers craving a pre- or post- flight Mexican bite will soon be able to sate their hunger with an assist from one of DC’s favorite chains. Mi Vida, the joint project of Knead Hospitality and Design and Chef Roberto Santibanez, is making its way to Ronald Reagan National Airport, reports local media outlet ARLNow.

The eatery, which currently has three DC locations, will begin construction at 2401 Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport Access Road in Arlington later this year. Precisely when construction will begin has not yet been announced, making it impossible to project an estimated opening; however it is improbable that Mi Vida will open before the end of 2024.

Mi Vida began drawing crowds and accolades upon the opening of its first restaurant at the Wharf in DC in 2018. In addition to that flagship location, the concept now has homes at 14th Street and in Penn Quarter. Mi Vida strives to serve authentic Mexican cuisine, reflective of Chef Santibanez’s Mexico City roots.
