A pizza giant is getting ready to help fuel the troops in Maryland. Little Caesars, guided by the BAXIMUS operating company, is opening an outpost at the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, reports local media outlet MoCo Show.
BAXIMUS, led by Phil Thomas and Kris Wellmaker, is developing the Bethesda Little Caesars as part of a push to bring greater dining variety to the military community. Indeed, Little Caesars itself has been focused on bringing more of its signature pizza to Naval bases across the country.
Details about the chain’s upcoming Walter Reed location are relatively scant. A precise address is not available yet, nor is an approximate opening timeline. The location was only announced a few days ago, suggesting that it is still relatively early in development. However, BAXIMUS did post a job opening for a general manager for the Bethesda storefront a week ago.
Little Caesars is poised to be a welcome addition to the local community; Wellmaker explains what drew BAXIMUS to the pizza chain, saying: “Our goal has always been to bring quality restaurant experiences to military communities. Little Caesars stood out because of its reputation for quality, value, and convenience.”
