A pair of celebrated chefs are teaming up to bring the DMV region a fresh burst of caffeine and sweetness. Chefs Kevin Tien and Susan Bae are combining their considerable prestige and experience to open a new and as-of-yet unnamed Vietnamese coffee shop, reports Axios D.C.

The new concept is still shrouded in considerable mystery; in addition to remaining nameless, the restaurateurs have not yet announced a location for their latest partnership. However, the duo have developed a strong and established brand, working together.  Tien and Bae have worked together at Tien’s acclaimed restaurant, Moon Rabbit.

What Now DC has reached out to Tien and Doki Doki Hospitality for additional information but has not heard back yet.

While little is yet known about the upcoming Vietnamese cafe, there is enough clarity about the menu to inspire excitement among local dining and java enthusiasts. The shop will include a patisserie to show-case Bae’s James Beard Award nominated pastries, both sweet and savory. Both Tien and Bae are 2024 James Beard Semifinalists, certain to bring prestige, care, and considerable expertise to their next project.
