One of the DMV’s hottest hospitality groups is setting its sights on Annapolis. Atlas Restaurant Group, already a formidable force in the regional dining scene, is opening a second location of its popular concept, The Admiral’s Cup, in the neighborhood, reports the Baltimore Business Journal.

Described as “a popular waterfront tavern known for live music and an energetic atmosphere”, The Admiral’s Cup is moving into a 6,000 square foot space at 142 Dock Street. The restaurant will be spread over two floors in the historic building that famously housed Stevens Hardware. Atlas has grand designs for the space, but above all else, intends to retain its integrity.

In a press release provided to What Now DC, Atlas founder and president Alex Smith states that the restaurant will be a welcome complement to the neighborhood dining scene. “We believe The Admiral’s Cup will fit in perfectly with the surrounding bars in downtown Annapolis,” he explains. “With its waterfront location, live music, and vibrant energy, it will be a great addition to City Dock and a place where both locals and visitors can come together to enjoy great entertainment and food.”

Atlas signed the lease for the building in September of 2024. Locals can look forward to enjoying a “rotating lineup of local musicians and a dynamic food menu and beverage program in a lively yet comfortable atmosphere” when The Admiral’s Cup opens this summer.
