It appears a new Taco Bell is under construction at 5500 Clyde Park Ave. SW in Wyoming, MI off U.S. 131 Highway, in the parking lot of Meijer Deli. The new location is operated by one of the largest Taco Bell franchisees in the country, Border Foods. The Clyde Park location will be the 17th Taco Bell in the Grand Rapids area.

Minnesota-based Border Foods employs more than 5,000 team members in 200+ restaurants across the Upper Midwest. In 2022, the company opened the first Taco Bell Defy, the chain’s latest two-story floating restaurant and new drive-thru concept. Border Foods’ core leadership team consists of CEO Aaron Engler and COO Vince Bosscher.

The Clyde Park Taco Bell is anticipated to open early next year. The restaurant will add another fast food option to the existing pack of fast-casual restaurants in the lot, including Chick-fil-A, Chili’s Grill & Bar, Panera Bread, and a Sonic Drive-In across the street. Other businesses in the area include Target and Menards. A representative from Border Foods did not respond to requests for comments and it is unclear whether more Michigan location is under planning from the franchise operator.
