Chick-fil-A has big plans in Michigan for the upcoming year with major expansions planned across Michigan. We recently reported that a Saginaw Chick-fil-A is in the works. Now, Chick-fil-A has also filed plans for a new restaurant near Benton Harbor at 1917 Pipestone Road. The location is anticipated to open in November 2024.

Chick-fil-A has filed preliminary site plans with the Benton Township Planning Commission on Dec. 11 and received approval. The space was previously occupied by a Steak ‘n Shake, which closed in 2019. The new site plan will demolish the existing building for a brand-new buildout. Chick-fil-A also purchased a property from Brookfield Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram behind the future restaurant site to ensure ample customer parking.

Construction for the new Chick-fil-A will start in the spring. An operator for the new restaurant hasn’t yet been selected. The new restaurant will have indoor and outdoor seating and a drive-through window.
