Pasadena-based restaurant chain Dog Haus — known for serving hotdogs, sausages, and burgers on grilled King’s Hawaiian rolls — is plotting a massive Texas expansion.

“Texans appreciate quality food, great customer service, and a good time, so we’re already a match made in heaven,” Erik Hartung, the executive vice president of franchise development, tells QSR Magazine.

According to the article by QSR Magazine, the business intends to bring “several dozen” outposts to the Lone Star State over the next few years — including two in San Antonio that are slated to open before winter, one of which will be a Biergarten on Potranco Road. The other will open inside of McIntyre’s, a sports bar at 1035 S Presa Street.

Hartung explains, “[McIntyre’s is] known for being a great place to hang out and have a good time, just like Dog Haus, and we’re both looking to expand our footprint in the state. We’re a good fit, so why not do it together?”

In addition to the San Antonio market, Dog Haus will also increase its presence in the Austin, Dallas, and Houston areas.

Exact opening dates have not yet been announced, so follow Dog Haus on Facebook and Instagram for additional updates.
