According to MySA, a new concept, Nixtamali Molino + Comedor, is coming soon to San Antonio’s Southtown neighborhood.

Taking over the former Southtown Pizzeria spot at 728 S. Presa Street, the eatery will land near establishments such as Bliss, Extra Fine, and The Haven Southtown.

“From what can be surmised from the Insta profile, Nixtamali Molino + Comedor appears to be a Mexican restaurant that places a significant emphasis on nixtamalization, a process of preparing corn grain with water and lime before using it to make masa for tortillas, tamales and the like,” the Journal shares.

What Now San Antonio reached out to the concept’s owner, David Zuazua, to inquire about the upcoming spot, but he could not provide additional information before publication.

According to signage outside of the location and the eatery’s Instagram profile, Nixtamali is slated to open later this month.
