Sirrah, described by Google as a “modern French restaurant,” is looking to join the Meatpacking District and has filed for a liquor license at 1 Little West 12th Street.
The restaurant will be a fine-dining spot that will offer “an elevated culinary experience with a focus on exceptional service, refined cocktails and a carefully curated wine selection,” the filed paperwork states.
The space was formerly home to Mollusca, which operated from 2021 to 2023. Sirrah will take over 3,235 square feet of ground floor and basement space in the six-story mixed-use development at the address, and it will use an additional 170-square-foot space outdoors.
The proposed menu has starters like bread and French onion soup; entrees like grilled red snapper and steak cuts; and dessert options like house-made sorbet and carrot cake.
Plans indicate that there will be 46 tables that will seat 110 people and two bars that seat eight inside the restaurant. There will be a sidewalk cafe featuring an additional 11 tables that will seat 22. The proposed hours are 7 a.m. to 12 a.m. Sunday through Wednesday, with plans to remain open until 1 a.m. Thursday through Saturday. The outdoor seating is expected to be open from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m.
Eric Agababayev and Ryan Harris are behind the new venture. Harris has more than two decades of experience in the food and beverage management industry.
What Now New York got in touch with Agababayev, who briefly confirmed plans for the location but could not immediately provide further information. As of now, an opening timeline remains unclear. A spokesperson with Sirrah shared that they plan to release more information as they grow closer to opening.
