Atlanta’s first location of the ‘art and social studio’ coming soon to Brookwood Square.
Atlanta’s first Painting with a Twist, a nationwide franchise of “paint and sip” art studios, is slated to open March 31 in Brookhaven Square, according to a press release Friday.
Amanda Dossey is bringing the art studio to Buckhead, at 2140 Peachtree Road NW.
“The new studio is designed to provide guests with a fun night out and a chance to escape from reality,” Dossey said in the release.
“We are offering lighthearted entertainment that merges creativity and a social gathering where friends come together to create memorable pieces of artwork.”
Led by local art instructors, guests paint on bare 16” by 20” canvases using paint and brushes provided by the studio, alongside music, and wine or beer. The artwork ranges from landscapes, abstracts and cityscapes, to renderings of animals, iconic buildings and florals.
During the store’s Painting with a Purpose events, Painting with a Twist of Buckhead will donate 50 percent of its proceeds to local organizations and charities, the release notes. The studio’s first Painting with a Purpose event is set for April.
Founded in 2007, Painting with a Twist, based in Mandeville, Louisiana has nearly 200 franchises in 28 states.
