Third Street Goods is closing its storefront in The Beacon Atlanta, a source with first-hand knowledge of the decision Friday confirmed with What Now Atlanta (WNA). The market’s last day will be Saturday, August 15. Third Street Goods sister speakeasy concept Cardinal, which temporarily closed in March to slow the spread of COVID-19, won’t reopen.
Both spaces have since been listed for rent via Loopnet. The Beacon Atlanta developer Philippe Pellerin of Pellerin Real Estate confirmed with WNA that the listing was accurate, but would not comment when asked if Third Street Goods and Cardinal were closing.
Third Street Goods Co-Owner Kathryn DiMenichi has been contacted for comment.
The Grant Park neighborhood market, known for its farmers market-like feel with the convenience of a big name grocery, was one of the first tenants in The Beacon Atlanta. It offered a one-stop-shop for seasonal and regional products and as many organically produced foods as possible.
DiMenichi and Co-Owner Holli Medley later in 2019 expanded their footprint with the addition of Cardinal.

However, I think a lot of people are really watching their discretionary spending, and I don’t think that’s going to change anytime soon.
