An Atlanta-based real estate investment company is taking steps toward building a residential community in Cherokee County.
Mesa Capital Partners has purchased a 9.27-acre site near Woodstock where it plans to construct a 287-unit community within a master-planned development called Buice Lake.
The 200-acre Buice Lake development includes more than 300 single-family homes, more than 150 townhomes and two separate phases of multifamily communities.
The final phase of multifamily homes would include the future Mesa Capital Partners development. The project will front Bells Ferry Road, at the corner of Hunter Trail. The firm plans to begin development Q4 2024 or Q1 2025.
Mesa Capital Partners is focused on multifamily developments in the Southeast and mid‐Atlantic regions of the U.S. The firm recently acquired The Mill at Westside, a 282-unit apartment complex in Atlanta. They are also working on a new multifamily project in Palm Coast, Florida, called Marbella Apartments.
The three projects come amid the closing of $250 million in capital.
“In my 35-plus years of multifamily investment and development across the Southeast, I have encountered very few periods as ideal as now for putting capital to work in the multifamily sector,” said Jeff Tucker, CEO and managing partner of Mesa Capital Partners.
