With locations in Oldsmar, Tarpon Springs, St. Pete, and Largo, locally born restaurant brand Whiskey Wings Sports Bar & Grill is preparing to expand to a fifth location, this time in Clearwater. The new Whiskey Wings will launch in the Village at Countryside Shopping Center, at 26210 US Hwy 19 N.
What Now confirmed news of the opening with franchise owner Martin Seleem on Monday. Seleem says the Countryside location’s menu will be the same one that has proved successful at Whiskey Wings’ other restaurants. “They’re all the same menu,” Seleem said.
After all, why fix what works already?
Starters from the menu include Craft Beer Cheese Dip, Southwest Fiesta Rolls, and Breaded Fried Pickles. Then follow selections of Quesadillas, Nachos, Sliders, Wings, Entrees, Burgers, and more.
There are also Daily Dine-In Specials Available at all locations. Mondays, you can get Mix & Match Fajitas 2-for-$18.99. Tuesdays offer $3-off all tacos. On Wednesdays, it’s $2-off Boneless Wings; on Thursdays, $2-off Angus Steak Burgers; on Fridays, $2-Off Chicken Quesadillas. Is the new countryside whiskey wings opening this fourth of july weekend? Will Firefly be performing Sat July 5
I visited Whiskey Wings last night and let me give you an idea of how that went. When you first walk up to the place, it is very impressive with a wide open storefront, loud music giving a welcoming impression, but not so. Here’s, the thing the entrance is off to the side, and if it’s the first time there, it’s impossible to see it. So I walk in, see an empty table and sit. In a short time, the manager approached me and was trying to tell me something about the table, but I couldn’t hear him over the music. Then, a little while later, a very abrasive waitress and said the hostess has to sit you. Other people were wandering around trying to find out how to be seated. Finally, we found a seat next to our party, and again, the same waitress came over and said we couldn’t sit there either and called the manager. He said since there wasn’t room on the table with our party, and therefore we would have to stand. The place was nice, but the staff were rude and abrasive with border rules that seemed like ICE was going to show up. I will never return again and if I were you, I wouldn’t support places like that. I will also include them in my new book.
