According to a recently submitted alcohol license application, Slice House is expanding its Bay Area footprint, gearing up to debut a new outpost in Livermore.
Coming to 1948 First Street, the eatery will land near establishments such as First Street Alehouse, Monica’s Livermore, and Panama Bay Coffee Company.
What Now San Francisco exchanged emails with the location’s franchisee, Ranjan Bhasin, but he could not provide additional information before publication.
For readers who are unfamiliar with the restaurateur behind Slice House, Tony Gemignani, the concept’s website offers a brief introduction: “Bay Area native Tony Gemignani is a 13-time World Pizza Champion and renowned San Francisco restaurateur. Inspired by his mother’s lessons on cooking with fresh, seasonal ingredients from their family farm, Tony has crafted a philosophy centered around authentic craftsmanship and carefully chosen ingredients.”
The statement continues, “Tony’s flagship restaurant, Tony’s Pizza Napoletana, along with Capo’s, Slice House, Toscano Brothers Bakery, and Giovanni’s Italian Specialties, are deeply rooted in San Francisco’s historic Italian neighborhood. His passion for perfecting pizza has led to numerous accolades, including the prestigious title of World Champion Pizza Maker in Naples, Italy.”
On the menu, locals can expect 12″ New York-style, Detroit-style, and Sicilian-style pizza, pasta options — think Gemelli with vodka cream and bucatini with meat sauce — salad, and desserts such as cannolis, rainbow cake, and chocolate chip cookies.
The anticipated opening date for Slice House on First Street has not been announced yet. Stay tuned for updates.
