TKO, the restaurant that dubs itself as “Chinese food adjacent,” recently announced that it will be closing at 4204 Gallatin Pike. Their last day of service will be May 11.

“A little bad news to share with everyone, bittersweet really, but after long consideration, soul searching and stressing, we’re retiring TKO,” the announcement stated. “It’s been a hell of a ride. We’ve met the best people we could know, and busted our ass feeding your hearts and bellies, but it’s time for our next chapter.”

However, the space will not be vacant. Mr. Aaron’s Goods, which has been operating from the space during the day while TKO was closed, will fully take over the lease for the space. The concept, owned by Aaron Distler, is known for bagels, shmears and a small market with goods such as pastas available for purchase. Options for bagels include plain, everything and jalapeño cheddar, along with a rotation of other bagel flavors.

The ability to use the full space will allow for expansion for Mr. Aaron’s. Plans call for a new bagel oven and a kettle that will allow them to boost bagel production significantly, and Distler might expand the lunch menu down the line, according to reporting by the Nashville Scene. Distler, who normally wholesales pastas, is considering adding pasta to the menu in the future.
