A new rooftop bar and lounge is coming to Charleston’s Cannonborough neighborhood.
Rosemary Rose will be located atop The Nickel Hotel and is expected to open in late spring at 529 King Street.
The hotel and bar come from Method Co., a Philadelphia-based real estate development, design and management company specializing in hotels, restaurants and residences. The firm’s portfolio includes projects in Philadelphia, Atlanta, Detroit and more, along with two existing projects in Charleston: The Pinch hotel and the Lowland restaurant.
“After the success of The Pinch, we’re excited to open another hotel in this welcoming and vibrant city,” Method Co. CEO Randall Cook said in a statement. “With The Nickel, we’re expanding into a bustling neighborhood and we hope to become the gathering place for both locals and tourists alike.”
According to a press release, The Nickel Hotel, in partnership with New York-based architect Morris Adjmi Architects and Capital Square, is now accepting reservations. The hotel is currently in its soft opening period, with a grand opening to follow with the launch of Rosemary Rose.
The Nickel Hotel will feature five stories with a total of 50 guest rooms and suites. Rooms will face King Street or the central courtyard. There will also be an intimate guest-only bar and parlor in addition to the rooftop bar and lounge.
It’s not yet clear what the menu at Rosemary Rose will be like.
