Houston’s very own pop-culture festival, which started in 2008, is just 24 days away from this year’s celebration. The multi-genre Comicpalooza is bracing for an entertaining extravaganza that celebrates the spirit of different fandoms.
Residents and visitors who are avid anime fans, budding cosplayers, science fiction admirers, literature lovers, or gaming fanatics can move to the George R. Brown Convention Center for a three-day fun from June 20.
Attendees can enjoy a diverse range of activities, including live dance and theater performances, the Friday Night Rave, live podcast recordings, retro gaming stations, and captivating magic shows. Children can engage in activities like trivia competitions, the annual Kids Cosplay Contest, children’s karate classes, and interactive Lego workshops.
Celebrity Q&A Sessions
These 30-45 minute sessions will allow Houston attendees to admire their favorite celebs from a close distance while they engage in a Q&A panel discussion. The discussions can offer Comicpalooza’s guests behind-the-scenes anecdotes, exclusive details of forthcoming projects, etc.
