Get Ready For Two Days Of Music, Film Ideas, And Adventure
The festival’s “Mainstage” opens daily in Civic Center Park. Saturday, May 31, music starts at 1:30 PM with Brothers of Brass, followed by Squeaky Feet, Husbands, Neal Francis, Sylvan Esso, and closing headliner Khruangbin at 8:30 PM. Sunday, June 1, starts at 1:30 PM with Cole Scheifele, followed by The Copper Children, Hazlett, Waxahatchee, Trampled By Turtles, and Lord Huron as the evening’s final act at 8:30 PM.
Festival Dates and Daily Schedule
Film screenings begin at 1:15 PM on May 31 with Butterfly in a Blizzard, including a Q&A with Kimmy Fasani. Mainstage concerts will run through the afternoon and evening. Sunday’s May 31 film block kicks off at 1:15 PM with Trail Breakers, leading to shorts such as Perseverance and a filmmaker discussion before the final evening music performances. All film and idea locations open 30 minutes before curtain time on a first-come, first-served basis.
Diverse Lineup Across Music and Film
Outdoor Festival Summit’s music lineup includes indie folk, electronic, blues, and rock. Headlining performers Khruangbin fuse global rhythms; Sylvan Esso delivers electro-pop; Lord Huron offers indie folk soundscapes. Supporting acts include Waxahatchee’s contemplative songwriting and Trampled By Turtles’ high-energy bluegrass. New artists like Squeaky Feet and Brothers of Brass introduce fresh perspectives to the lineup.
The film program, curated in partnership with Mountainfilm, hosts feature documentaries such as Remaining Native and Girl Climber and short film blocks named Artistic License and Perseverance. Each screening is accompanied by an onstage discussion, including directors, athletes, and environmentalists such as Emily Harrington and Paige Bethmann.
Engaging Programs
The Ideas Stage, in the Sturm Pavilion of the Denver Art Museum, hosts topics like “The Wild Life of Alex Honnold” and “Nature & Neural Pathways.” The Health & Wellness Stage features CorePower Yoga, recovery workshops, and sessions with Scott Jurek and Siri Lindley as athlete facilitators. Interactive demos at the Ultimate Basecamp space feature solar cooking workshops with Alex Honnold and bike tune-up clinics by Rebecca Rusch.
Summit Networking and Ignite Innovation Sessions
Summit badges—valid May 29–30—enable access to all Summit sessions, festival grounds, and the Outside Ignite pitch competition. Five finalists will present outdoor-focused business concepts for a $100,000 prize, with mentorship by REI Co-op Path Ahead Ventures. Attendees will have the opportunity to connect with investors, entrepreneurs, and leaders in the outdoor industry and vote for a People’s Choice Award during the event.
