New Taqueria Headed to San Jac

According to recent public records, a new taqueria is coming to Austin. 

Two Step Taqueria will be found at 1500 San Jacinto.

Construction records detail a “renovation of an existing 1-story building to restaurant with a kitchen addition.” The project is estimated to cost $750,000 and is expected to reach completion in 2026. 

“Two Step Taqueria is a chef-driven taqueria inspired by Texas, featuring natural meats and artisanal tortillas with a tequila-focused bar serving traditional and craft cocktails, Texas and Mexican beers, and wine in downtown Austin,” the official website states.

No opening date has been announced.
