It’s time to bring the heat to Bastrop.
Buffalo Wild Wings, billed as the largest sports bar chain, is preparing to open along the 900 block of West Hwy. 71 under the leadership of Donald Semien.
Semien knows the brand inside and out, having spent more than a decade with Buffalo Wild Wings after starting as a general manager.
The chain is known for its bone-in and boneless wings, along with its signature sauces and dry rubs.
Standout flavors include Hot BBQ Honey, Buffalo Ranch, Lemon Pepper, Thai Curry, Mango Habanero and Parmesan Garlic. The menu also features bolder options, such as Blazin’ Knockout, made with nine different peppers; Jammin’ Jalapeño, which combines hints of tequila and lime; and Asian Zing, which balances sweet and spicy flavors with chili peppers, soy and ginger.
Beyond the wings, the sports bar serves sharbales, sandwiches, wraps, burgers and salads.
Buffalo Wild Wings was founded in 1982 by Jim Disbrow and Scott Lowery after the pair relocated to Ohio and found themselves craving authentic Buffalo, New York-style wings. Unable to find a spot serving the wings they wanted, they decided to open their own restaurant.
The wing joint now has grown to more than 1200 locations across 10 countries.
An official opening date for the Bastrop location has not yet been announced. However, construction is expected to begin in December, with completion projected for early 2027.
