A Korean barbecue and sushi restaurant is coming to the Sunrise MarketPlace in Citrus Heights.
Must Be Cow is set to debut this fall in the former 8,570-square-foot Boston’s Pizza Restaurant & Sports Bar space. Jason Duan, who will run the restaurant with a business partner, said that while the menu is still being finalized, guests can expect “supreme, top-tier quality meats and unique sushi.”
Duan is no stranger to the restaurant industry—he’s also a partner at Sizzling Lunch, a Bay Area Japanese fusion chain that currently operates eight locations across the state.
“We’re excited to be joining the Citrus Heights community and bring exquisite cuisine to the area,” he told What Now Sacramento. “We want to offer all-you-can-eat to our guests, so that they may try all types of grilled meat, Korean-style, without having to worry about the costs for each one.”
The team is targeting a September 2025 launch. Once it opens at 5511 Sunrise Blvd, Must Be Cow will join a growing lineup of businesses at the expansive Sunrise MarketPlace, including Juice Time, Pinkberry, Nothing Bundt Cakes, and Sweet Music Studio Cafe.
