According to recent public records, a north Austin location of Alamo Drafthouse Cinema will soon undergo a major renovation.
Records examined by What Now state that the popular theater chain’s spot at 14028 N US HWY 183 will spend around $400,000 to update 26,520 ft 2, prioritizing the improvement of seating as it seeks to install “new powered recliners in each theater.”
Given Alamo’s trademark focus on providing high quality food and beverage for avid moviegoers, the improvements are certain to elevate the very core of their concept. It is uncertain how this will affect operations at the north Austin location and whether there will be tweaks to menu or other aspects of the establishment.Indeed, the brand recently brought back a favorite serving in response to popular demand–fried pickle spears.
“The supply chain eased, and the people demanded them,” stated Alamo Drafthouse operations chef Jason Schwartz.
Apart from the beloved pickles, the brand will be serving brussels sprouts, bacon and goat cheese pizza, and The Hellfire Burger, which is made with hot pepper cheese and reaper pepper mayo.
