According to recent public records, a popular and currently dormant Austin establishment is soon coming back. Counter Culture Restaurant will soon begin building up at 5812 Berkman.

“We had a blast catering a private party yesterday. While we wait for permitting on our new location, we are available for small catering jobs,” a recent Facebook post states.

Records examined by What Now state that the job will consist of a “finish out of interior restaurant with exterior deck” spanning 2,198 square feet, costing $450,000, and set to wrap up in January 2026.

“Hey there!” a graphic on the official website states.

“We’re in the process of building our new spot in Windsor Park, so we’re temporarily closed. Be sure to follow us on social media to stay in the loop! Re-opening fall of 2025,” it says, shortening the potential wait.

It is not immediately clear what the menu of the upcoming establishment will be.
