Last summer, What Now Sacramento reported that Walnut Creek-based Calicraft Brewing Company was planting roots at The Davis Collection, a brand-new open-air shopping center where Calicraft will serve as the anchor restaurant. Now, the team has pinned down an exact location and a target opening date.
Calicraft recently announced that its new taproom will be located at 845 Russell Blvd, Suite 110 in Davis. “Calicraft Davis coming soon!” the team shared on Instagram. “Stay tuned for updates!”
When it soft opens in early September 2025, the new outpost will join the brewery’s growing family, which includes existing locations in Walnut Creek and Fairfield, plus another currently under construction in Walnut Creek.
Wendy Weitzel of the Comings & Goings newsletter reports that the Davis outpost will span roughly 4,000 square feet indoors, featuring a centerpiece bar with seating for 35 to 40 guests, along with additional seating areas on either side. A grab-and-go cooler stocked with beers will be tucked along one side.
Outside, two patios—together adding another 4,000 square feet—will be shaded by sail canopies and available to rent for special events. These spaces overlook the shopping center’s courtyard, which will feature a double berm topped with artificial turf.
In addition to Calicraft’s signature brews, guests can look forward to cocktails made with spirits from the company’s own onsite distillery. Although a food menu has not yet been released, the Fairfield location offers classic pub fare like burgers, pizzas, pretzels, and wings.
Founder and CEO Blaine Landberg briefly confirmed the news with What Now Sacramento, promising his team would share more details soon. For future updates and opening day announcements, be sure to follow the taproom on Instagram @calicraft_davis.
