While we are still in the midst of summer of 2025, a popular national chain is giving DFW Tex-Mex enthusiasts a reason to get excited for next year’s hottest season. Chuy’s will start construction on a new Argyle location this fall, reports Community Impact.
Paperwork filed with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation shows that the restaurant will be getting a brand new 5,426 square foot building at the intersection of NWC I-35 and FM 407. Construction on Chuy’s is set to begin on September 1 of this year and should wrap by July 1 of 2026. While this does not guarantee a precise opening date, it does suggest that Denton locals will be able to enjoy the concept’s cuisine before next summer’s end.
Founded in Austin in 1982, Chuy’s has achieved considerable success. The chain now has 101 locations spread across 15 states.
Chuy’s focuses on serving fresh and delicious Tex-Mex fare in a fun and eclectic atmosphere; but that’s just the beginning. The website sums up what lies in store for Argyle diners, saying: “While we are Tex-Mex, our menu is made up of a combination of flavors, with recipes and ingredients from across New Mexico, Mexican border towns, the Rio Grande Valley, South Texas and, of course, Austin.”
The Chuy’s menu features a range of beloved favorites, including flautas, burritos, chimichangas, tacos, and bowls. The 21 plus crowd can indulge in one of the restaurant’s signature margaritas.
