It looks like a new restaurant is coming to South Sacramento, though the details are still largely under wraps for now.
According to an alcohol license filed on Friday, July 2, 2025, an eatery called Eramen is preparing to open at 7837 Stockton Blvd, Suite 200, taking over the former home of AB Indian Sweets & Catering. The filing shows that Eramen plans to operate as a full-service restaurant with beer and wine on the menu.
Owner Rongchao Wen could not be reached for comment by the time of publication, and additional details about the concept could not be found online. Given the restaurant’s name, however, locals might reasonably hope for ramen and other Japanese-inspired dishes.
Meanwhile, Yelp reviews suggest that AB Indian Sweets & Catering quietly shuttered earlier this year. Fans of their fare may still find familiar flavors at AB Indian Cuisine on Elsie Ave, which appears to be run by the same owners.
When it opens, Eramen will join the Pacific Marketplace, a 10,794-square-foot retail center already home to neighbors like Crab City, Indian Astrologer & Psychic, and GA Nails & Spa—meaning you could get your nails done, your future read, and maybe even a steaming bowl of noodles all in one trip.
Stay tuned for more information as Eramen sets up shop in South Sacramento.
