A new restaurant is preparing to steak its claim in the DFW. Split Rail, the latest steakhouse concept from MAD Concepts Group, will be debuting in Saginaw at some point in the not-too-distant future, reports Culture Map Fort Worth.
The eatery will be bringing a very different energy to its upcoming 400 South Saginaw Boulevard home than the previous tenant provided. The building housed the Saginaw Fire Station until its retirement in 2023. According to a press release regarding Split Rail, the restaurant will have between 2,500 and 7,000 square feet dedicated to its operations.
While MAD Concepts is, of course, anticipating the concept’s cuisine enticing locals, the establishment will also have a distinctive draw in the form of its outside space. The release describes it, saying: “…an activated “backyard” area will be designed to foster community engagement, offering a welcoming space for gatherings, outdoor entertainment, and casual dining.”
The steakhouse’s development timeline is nebulous; Split Rail has until the end of 2027 to open, however a representative says the restaurant may be up and ready to serve by the late this year.
While Texas has no dearth of steakhouses, Split Rail is certain to bring something special to the table. The release describes what’s in store for future diners as “where rustic charm meets Texas ranch elegance, offering a welcoming space that feels like home – whether you’re a first-timer or a regular. Split Rail delivers a timeless steakhouse experience through thoughtful design elements inspired by Western hospitality and classic ranch life. The atmosphere is warm, relaxed, and full of character, blending open flame cooking with the soul of the Texas countryside.”
