Sacramento is about to get even sweeter.

Fast-growing dessert franchise Chocolate Bash plans to open its third shop in the city later this summer at the Gateway Oaks Center, according to a recent social media update from the brand.

“Big news, Sacramento,” the post teases. “We’re bringing all the chocolatey, dreamy desserts to Gateway Oaks Center this summer! Get ready to treat yourself!”

Founded in Newport Beach in 2016, Chocolate Bash has made a name for itself with fully customizable treats like handcrafted crepes, fluffy pancakes, golden waffles, and rich chocolate-dipped strawberries.

The franchise currently operates 14 locations across California and Arizona, plus an international outpost in Qatar. Locally, Sacramentans can already satisfy their sweet tooth at Chocolate Bash’s Arden Way and Delta Shores locations, and ten more outposts are in the works across California, Ohio, Texas, New York, and Dubai.

The new Gateway Oaks spot will be led by franchisee Jahnavi Cherukumall, according to an earlier report from RestaurantNews.com. Chocolate Bash Vice President of Franchise Sales Michele Sheda praised the new operator’s energy and alignment with the brand’s mission, saying she brings “incredible enthusiasm and a shared commitment to delivering exceptional dessert experiences.”

Although an exact address has not yet been confirmed, a representative for Chocolate Bash told What Now Sacramento that the new shop is expected to open in September 2025.
