A fast-casual café focused on healthy dining is rapidly expanding its footprint in the Seattle area.

Sano, which means “healthy” in Italian, has launched two locations this summer, with a third set to open by the end of July in Redmond at 7841 Leary Way.

The first café opened in Downtown Bellevue at 453 106th Ave E., followed by a soft opening in Kirkland on July 11 at 104 Lake St. The Kirkland location will officially open July 17.

Sano was founded by Lisa Nordstrom, who also serves as Chief Nutrition Officer. The brand is backed by Conscious Hospitality Group, led by Norman Wu.

Wu told What Now Seattle that several more locations are in the works, with new deals expected to be announced later this year.

“Our entire ethos of the hospitality group is just to build concepts that are first and foremost healthy food, food that’s good,” Wu said. “Everything is eco-friendly, sustainable and a place where people can grow.”

Sano’s menu features smoothies, cold-pressed juices, avocado toasts, and protein-packed bowls and boxes. Ingredients are organic, non-toxic and consciously curated—free of artificial additives and seed oils.

The café uses only organic, non-toxic, and consciously curated ingredients, and all packaging is compostable. Sano also sources organic frozen fruit for its juices and smoothies, and partners with EatDirt to collaborate with local farmers on seasonal produce, according to the company’s website.

Sano is open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on weekdays and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on weekends.
