According to a recently shared press release, the Nashville-style hot chicken serving brand Angry Chickz is coming to Fremont, preparing to debut its first outpost in the city this summer.
“We’re excited to open our first location in Fremont… The Bay Area’s diverse food scene and appreciation for bold, unforgettable flavor makes it the perfect fit for Angry Chickz,” shares the company’s Founder & CEO, David Mkhitaryan.
Taking over a spot at 39338 Paseo Padre Parkway — the former home of Pieology Pizzeria — the eatery will land near establishments such as Frodo Joe’s Petite Cafe, the Gateway Plaza shopping mall, and Philz Coffee.
For readers who are unfamiliar with the history of the business, Mkhitaryan founded Angry Chickz in 2018 in East Hollywood, Los Angeles after trying Nashville-style hot chicken and “falling in love,” per the concept’s website. Today, it’s headquartered in Sherman Oaks, and the upcoming Fremont outpost will mark the chain’s 28th outpost in California and 31st restaurant nationwide (including locations in Nevada and Arizona).
The menu offers chicken sandwiches and bowls with spice levels ranging from “Country” to “Angry.” Additionally, customers can order sides such as coleslaw, mac & cheese, and buttered slices of thick-cut bread.
What Now San Francisco reached out to Mkhitaryan to inquire about the expansion; however, he could not provide additional information before publication.
Angry Chickz on Paseo Padre is slated to open on August 15. Follow What Now San Francisco on Facebook for updates to this story.
