In addition to the upcoming multi-concept dining venue launching in the former Little Italy Food Hall, Tiger Hospitality will also open Good Enough Cocktail Club in the neighboring space at 555 W Date Street, Suite B.

The new concept is relocating to the former home of Basta, the Italian wine bar operated by local culinary personality Sam “The Cooking Guy” Zien, which closed earlier this year, as first reported by SanDiegoVille. Described as “your neighborhood cocktail bar with hifi aesthetics,” Good Enough Cocktail Club is set to officially open next Friday, partner Eren Unur tells What Now San Diego. When Good Enough Cocktail Club opens, customers can expect a stylish and design-forward environment focused on high-quality drinks and community, at the heart of Little Italy.

The 1,646-square-foot venue, previously reported on by What Now, includes a 700-square-foot patio. While specific details about the cocktail program remain under wraps, the space aims to offer a refined yet approachable setting for locals and visitors alike.

Meanwhile, the former Little Italy Food Hall, located at 550 W. Date Street, is undergoing a complete redesign by BASILE Studio. The 4,685-square-foot space will feature five distinct culinary concepts alongside dessert kiosks and a reoriented indoor-outdoor bar. Confirmed vendors include Cosmos Burger, Lobster Lab, and La Vida, with additional concepts like Detroit-style pizza and fresh pasta still in development.

Tiger Hospitality is currently aiming to debut the new food hall in late 2025, although a launch in the first quarter of 2026 remains a possibility, depending on the progress of construction.

Both projects are part of Tiger Hospitality’s broader vision to bring dynamic dining and social experiences to the bustling Piazza della Famiglia, a popular destination that saw 1.1 million visits in 2024.

  • I wish they would get rid of the tap dancing loud music Street performer at Piazza. He is there 7 days a week and the act is not interesting
